Ernie Noyse, Annie Zolinger, Mike Southworth, Chris Carney and Janette Duncan

Ernie is a long time participant in the Sonoma County Old Time music scene. Hailing from the East (Phillie), he honed his musical skills and uncanny memory for songs, during the folk and traditional music revival of the 1960's. We're lucky to have such a fine musician in this band.

Annie has been singing her entire life starting in church choirs at the age of seven. She began singing classical music in high school and college. At the age of 14 she picked up the guitar and began singing folk music. She got turned on to playing the fiddle when her brother gave her their grandpa's fiddle in 2005. She has been playing and singing old time music ever since.
A real treat to have such an accomplished vocalist in the band.

Mike has a lifelong love of music, enhanced by decades of playing folk, bluegrass, celtic and old-time music on guitar and banjo. Connecting with this band has brought it all together, been a lot of fun, and given Mike a place to develop his own musical style.

Janette has played the violin since she was 9 years old. She studied Classical music for the first 10 years, but she switched to fiddling in college and never went back.
She has spent 58 years studying and playing Old-time,Cajun, Celtic, Swedish and Eastern European fiddle styles.

Chris grew up playing music. He started early playing the trumpet and french horn (along with the guitar) through elementary school, high school and in college studied the woodwinds and strings but finally came to his senses and settled on the fiddle, banjo and guitar in the late 1970's and has been playing Old Time and Celtic music ever since.

The Stony Point Ramblers have a unique approach to the style of music we play. Old Time for sure but if a song seems like it would fit with our sound, whether it's written by Bruce Springstein or Maybelle Carter, we'll try it out and if we like it, it goes in the repertoire.

A very enjoyable band and lots of fun to listen to...
